Certificate A: For Clinicians and Students in Training

1. Using trance states and hypnosis in psychotherapy and counselling: Basic.  Nature of trance and hypnosis, trance inductions, induction practice, exploring the inner mind, susceptibility, depth of trance, suggestion. (30 hours)

2. Using trance states in clinical work.   Using trance states with clients, review of induction techniques, working with dissociation, phobias, creative blocks, conflict situations, anomalous phenomena, physical phenomena, special difficulties.   (30 hours-- prerequisite A-1))

3. Ideomotor signals: Basic.   Nature of psychological automatisms. automatisms and trance states, induction of finger signals, practice of inductions, experiencing finger signals, uses of finger signals in psychotherapy and counselling. (30 hours)

4. Ideomotor signals: Advanced-1.   Training group for use of finger signals and other automatisms; entails using finger signals to access inner mind to deal with problematic symptom by revealing the source of the condition and the means for its resolution.  Conducted by course director.  (30 hours--prerequisite A-3)                

Certificate B: For Practicing Clinicians Only

 1. Using trance state and hypnosis in psychotherapy and counselling: Basic. Same as A-1 above.

2. Using trance states in clinical work. Same as A-2 above.

3. Using trance states: Clinical cases.  Review of induction techniques and approaches to specific symptoms, discussion of cases of participants, dealing with challenging or unusual         problems.  (30 hours--prerequisite B-2

4. Ideomotor signals: Basic  Same as A-3 above.

5. Ideomotor signals: Advanced-1.  Same as A-4 above.

6. Ideomotor signals: Advanced-2. Continuation of approach of Advanced-1, with the opportunity for participants to carry out investigative work.  (30 hours--prerequisite B-5)

7. Ideomotor signals: Clinical cases. Review of finger signal inductions and techniques of finger signal work, discussion of cases of participants, dealing with challenging or unusual     problems.  (30 hours--prerequisite B-6)
